Wind turbine valuations

A question to turbine operators/owners and/or financing parties:

How have breakdown and maintenance experiences influenced wind turbine asset values for the purposes of financial statement preparation? Capital asset valuations in the transportation sector can vary considerably as a direct result of mainenance and repair practices. Any auditor worth his salt will make it his business to know, from the records, the condition of equipment before accepting values for entry onto a balance-sheet statement.

Transportation equipment maintenance and repair practices have also been of interest to insurers.

Insurers believe that there is a positive correlation between claims history and how well or how badly equipment is maintained.
